Many people flock to the capital for a weekend and plan to fill it with it only a few things, and that includes shopping, eating and drinking, and who can blame them. London is great for this. The bards and restaurants speak for themselves with London showcasing many Michelin starred establishments. When it comes to shopping there are stores and boutiques to suit all sorts of tastes. You have the fabulous department stores such as Liberty London and Harrods. You have the amazing Oxford Road high street and designer labels, and you also have wonderful boutiques and stalls that you can find in the local markets. Which brings me nicely on to my nest suggestion.
Explore things like a local and enjoy the markets
There are some fabulous and famous markets in London, to of which are Portobello Road and Camden. Whether you are staying in a self-catering place and want to source some amazing ingredients, or you just like to browse to see what things you can pick up and find, these markets are bound to excite you. If for anything, the street food vendors, cafes and bars that surround them.

Maybe you are a little more cultural or have a thing for the arts, which is why London is the perfect place to enjoy a show. You could catch the classic, Les Miserables, a funny show like the Book of Mormon, or more recently you will find a rendition of the film Magic Mike which is sure to appeal to groups of females heading to London for a girly trip, wouldn’t you agree?

London has the most amazing skyline, and so while you may like to admire it from the famous South Bank, you could see it from a height and get a better perspective. Thanks to two of the main attractions in London, the London Eye and The Shard, you can now see London in all its glory from a height and really capture the skyline. With so many different attractions to see, how do you fit it all in, without causing you to depress your bank balance? Thankfully, you can now buy combined tickets for things like museums and galleries, making it a really cheap day out.
