UK Bloggers began life in January of 2013, after a night of chatting between Sarah (Life in a Break Down) and Bex (Futures) centred around the lack of areas where bloggers, of every genre from the UK, could come together, share, discuss and help one another. They assumed only friends would join and it would become a place to share gossip and tips with each other in a small group, so when within days the group grew it was a bit of shock.
The following year brought insight into many different groups that were already available around the internet and the dedication to make UK Bloggers have a niche of its own. The fact that UK Bloggers thrived and became an active area for both bloggers, PRs and SEOs to meet and interact is still surprises both parties.
Of course, the Facebook group wouldn’t be where it is now without its dedicated team of admin and so to them a very big thank you.
May/June 2014 saw the idea of expansion come to the forefront of conversation between Sarah, Bex and Jo and the website was formed. It has been through a number of different guises, at first we had a forum, but we found our members preferred Facebook, after all as a blogger being on social media is a must, so it makes sense.
Today we have a thriving Facebook Group of over 6000 members, our twitter has over 23000 followers and the once forum has been changed into a blog in it’s own right and we also offer brands the chance to outreach with us to our members.
