Guylian for Easter

Easter is going to be upon us before we know it and when I went to the supermarket to buy my kids an Easter egg – I was stumped! There are so many on the market and for the life of me I didn’t know what to buy.

Growing up abroad and being surrounded by quality chocolate from Europe, I have become partial to Belgian chocolate and I am a fan of Guylian chocolate. What makes it so special? I think it is the sea shells. The hazelnut praline filling inside the sea shells is an unmistakable taste from Guylian and gives it the unique taste that Guylian is famous for.

This Easter they don’t disappoint us as they return with top of the range eggs at an affordable price. We were sent a Guylian Large Sea Shell Egg to try from the guys at Guylian, and myself and my daughter really took this seriously and savoured every second that the chocolate melted in our mouths.

Guylian is made with 100% cocoa butter and a unique blend of West-African cocoa beans, together this forms the premium Belgian chocolate that we enjoy today. Whilst you enjoy your chocolate, you can taste the unique blend and it really is like a taste of heaven in your mouth. The sea shell chocolates are made with a secret method of roasting and caramelizing hazelnuts, this gives Guylian chocolates their signature taste, and has been made like this from the beginning in 1960. The Easter egg itself is good quality for its money and it comes in a box that isn’t deceptive, quite often you buy and Easter egg and it comes in a huge box, but when you remove the packaging, you’re left with a a tiny egg. But with the Guylian Large Sea Shell Egg the egg is clearly in sight for you to see and the box of chocolates, actually looked smaller than what it was as you can see about half of the chocolates and I had assumed the rest was packaging, but when we removed them, we were thrilled to find a full size box inside – it was as if all my Easters had come at once. You do need to be warned though because once you open the box of seashells, they are so moreish that you will eat them all before you realise!
