I really like unique materials in decoration but sometimes they can be pricey. I needed an extra bowl for our fruits so I decided to try some bowl decorating. As I was sorting our kitchen cupboards I found some old bowls that were destined for the recycling bin so I decided to experiment a little bit

I’ve seen a lot of beautiful yarn wrapped bowls on Pinterest however I wanted to make something different. I really liked this cord
So in order to make this you just need to wrap your jute cord around the bowl and glue. I didn’t start from the bottom of the bowl since I wanted it to be stable. It’s so easy to make.
This DIY costed me £2, well less since I have some jute cord left. I have the glue gun at home which I bought for around £10 from Amazon and I use it all the time for my crafts and home DIY’s.
Crafts are not expensive as many people think. Once you have the basics you can start creating. Moreover, the feeling of achievement when you look at your creation is priceless. There have been numerous researches about how crafts can help with depression, build a child’s fine motor skills motor skills, ease stress, and more.

Great work, I do love a cheeky crafting session. Don’t always have the time or tools to do so, but the beginning of next week I need to get my creative hat on and make some bits for work 🙂
