Sudocrem Skin Care Cream Review

Sudocrem Skin Care Cream

When my hubby discovered I had started to use Sudocrem Skin Care Cream as a regular part of my skincare routine, he thought it was hilarious. I think his exact words were; “So, you’re putting butt cream on your face?” This was followed by copious amounts of ‘buttface’ related jokes. (Who says romance is dead?!)

I have to admit, when someone says Sudocrem, I had a similar train of thought. However, apparently, our very own national treasure, Cheryl (Cole/Versini/I don’t know what her name is anymore), swears by it. And she has beautiful skin.

The Sudocrem Skin Care Cream claims to soother and protect spot-prone, flaky and irritated skin by forming a barrier and is gentle enough to be used on adults and children.

Sudocrem Skin Care Cream

The cream itself is quite thick. You only need the tiniest little bit, because it spreads so easily. The first time I used it, I only took a small amount and ended up with a white face and had blatantly used too much. Never mind, lesson learned!

The smallest bit of product managed to cover my entire face. I applied it every morning and allowed half an hour for it to soak in before applying my makeup and carrying on with my day. I have really uneven skin which can get quite red in some areas for no apparent reason. The Sudocrem Skin Care Cream really helped to even out my skin and it really calmed down any red areas. It also gave me a nice even base for my make up!

It also works great as a spot treatment. I target areas where spots are forming or any skin that looks a little irritated or red at night time and by the morning the areas are so much calmer. It didn’t immediately get rid of blemishes, but day by day they were getting much less angry looking and so much more manageable.

After a couple of weeks, my skin looked much clearer and less red. I was developing fewer blemishes than before, and those that were coming through were definitely smaller and not as red and scary as they usually are. Even my hubby complimented me on how much nice my skin was looking, after all those buttface jokes!

I really like that it comes in a little 30g tube. It’s easy to pop in my handbag and take away with me when I’m on the road. It’s also only £2.09 from Boots, so it’s an absolute bargain!

  1. Oh that made me chuckle … Butt cream on your face! I’d like to try this as their flagship product is amazing as a cure all for the nether regions.

  2. I would never have thought to use Sudocrem on my face but now you mention it, it makes perfect sense! So great to hear that it’s working out so well for you 🙂 x
