The summer is here, and as you probably already know, it’ll fly by far too quickly if you aren’t careful, so if you haven’t yet managed to get away and relish in the heat in style, then you may want to change that sooner rather than later. One of the most common problems which hold people back from going abroad and spending time with their loved ones, is money. The society we live in is such a demanding one, and everything has a price. Because of that, it makes it very difficult to save enough up for a holiday that you deserve. Having said that though, it’s not too late, and you still have time to scrape enough together and treat yourself. This isn’t ever something that you should feel guilty about either – there is nothing wrong with you treating yourself, it’s your well-earned money, and it’s not all made to go on bills and boring expenses – it’s also to be enjoyed. So by all means, set your eyes on travelling around the British Virgin Islands and plan away.
Take out a loan
Loans always seem to be associated with major life events, like buying a car or a house, and anything that falls short of that is just ‘irresponsible’ – but this isn’t the case at all. Loans are there to be used for anything you choose. You are the one willing to borrow it and have that responsibility, so it is entirely up to you how you go about using it – like for a holiday. So have a look at various loans companies and see what appeals to you the most. Ideally, you want to look at the interests rates as they all differ depending on who you borrow from. The lower the interest rate, the less you have to pay back, so always be sure to read all of the terms and conditions.
If you are still working through the holiday up until your annual leave, then have a word with your boss and ask if it’s possible for you to do any overtime. Bear in mind that every little helps right now, so any extra hours that you are able to put in to get some extra cash it totally worth it. Although the last thing you may want to do right now is work even more than you already are – if it means that you will have accumulated enough money to go on the holiday of your dreams, surely it’s all worth it, right? If ever you don’t have this possibility, then you can also pick up a small, part-time job to work on the weekends. Waiter or bar work is always available as they often need more staff to cover weekends.
Now that you have a couple of ideas, you can come up with a plan of action and get closer to your break away. And if ever you feel as though there isn’t any time left – there’s always next year. So start saving now!
