Journey of an Entrepreneur – An introductory note

Before we start I feel it only right that I give an understanding of who I am, my thought processes and beliefs.

My journey has been an odd one and one which is most probably due more to fate than pre-thought and planning. Not a journey that I am dis-fond of but certainly not something I could have predicted; it has taught me many valuable lessons. These lessons are what gave me motivation to start writing. Through my posts I hope I can guide and inspire others, spark their need to take action. As the famous quote goes ‘you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take’ and action, regardless of outcome is better than doing nothing.

I will fully explain my work background in another post and will elaborate on lessons I have learnt one by one. But to give you a brief overview I studied computing and business whilst working my way up as a business analyst / manager within some of the leading FTSE 100 companies. I am naturally an inquisitive person so analytics was a good route of progression for me. During time within the corporate world I began to feel the frustrations of regulation, governance and general management structures and needed an outlet to express my creativity. I answered this calling by starting luxury fashion brand Kurtis Paul. Kurtis Paul specialises in luggage and accessories for a demographic we refer to as ‘The Modern Gentleman’. In my spare time I am keen motorcyclist, avid traveller and eager self developer. I spend much of my down time fulfilling these needs and have a strong belief that I should spend as much time as I can, whilst relatively young, bettering myself so I can progress quicker and benefit more in later life.
