Everyday Spring Makeup Look

Busy mornings, places to go, people to see…We are all pushed for time in the mornings and with life moving fast, having a simple, go-to makeup look can be a real help. Today I am going to show you my quick, everyday Spring makeup look. Wearable and light, yet pulled together and polished.

I always start the day with a little bit of sunscreen. Not only for the obvious health reasons, but if you would like to stop premature aging, from sun damage, sunscreen is the best place to start. I love using the Clinique City Block, as it has a high 40 SPF, and has a lovely light texture. It primes my skin perfectly for my base, as well as adding a healthy lit-from-within look.

On top of my sunscreen, I like to use a hydrating, light-coverage base. I don’t tend to reach for a foundation on an everyday basis, as I like to let my skin breathe. I have been loving the light to medium coverage of the Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint. As I have been a huge fan of the brands skincare for a while, I liked the idea of trying a makeup product from a brand that champions good ingredients in their products. This light base is perfect when blended in with fingers or a brush – whichever you find easier and quicker.

For concealer – which if you’re lacking in the beauty sleep department like me, is a must – I always turn to a twist up pen. The Estee Lauder Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter is a brilliant product for concealing any darkness under the eyes and bringing light to the area. Huge brownie points to this product for being to quick to apply; simply twist, brush on and blend!

One of the quickest ways to perk up your complexion is to add a little bit of colour from blush and bronzer. I find that cream blush is so easy to do when I’m in a rush, as you can use your finger tips to dub on a little flush where you want. I have been using the Rimmel Royal Blush Cream Blusher in Love Pink. The shade is light and buildable, so perfect for every eye or lip look.

For Spring, I cannot leave the house without bronzer. It is one of my favourite makeup products of all time because it always makes me look healthier and gives my face shape. Lately, I have been sweeping the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder in the shape of a 3 across my temples, cheekbones and jawline.

With the base done, I keep the rest of my look as simple as possible. If I have a little extra time, I’ll pop a little bit of the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil through my brows. If you are looking for a quick brow product, this pencil would be good for you. The slated nib lets you quickly fill in any sparseness in the brows without having to worry about being too precise.

I always reach for a cream shadow in the Spring. They are so easy to slap on with your fingers, giving you a pretty lid colour in a flash. The Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hour Eyeshadow in On and On Bronze is one of my favourites for a simple eye look on a busy morning.

I love lashings of mascara, but when I don’t have the time to pile on the coats I need a mascara that will build volume and length in one coat; in comes the L’Oreal False Lash Sculpt Mascara. This is an incredible mascara for dramatic lashes with zero effort needed!

I usually chuck my lip products in my bag, so I am able to add those products when I have a spare two seconds later in the day. The products I have been loving at the moment are the Charlotte Tilbury Lipcheat in Pillow Talk and the Dior Addict Lip Glow. This duo makes my lips look full and naturally plump, as well as keeping them hydrated and comfortable all day long.
