Facetox – 7 Day Face Detox

I do regular 7-14 sometimes 28 day detoxes to flush out the bad however never thought of a face detox. Facetox does a 7 day facial detox which detoxifies your face over several weeks.

Now just to make you aware, you do not use this face mask every day, once or twice a week is all you need.
The name does suggest you use this daily for 7 days but you don’t, it can dry your skin out with overuse.

You get this kit in a really nice presentation box, inside you get a little mixing bowl, spatula and also 7 sachets of rose water and 7 sachets of the mixed Facetox blend.

You pop one sachet of both into the mixing bowl and mix away, creating a thick face mask.

Now, I found using the whole sachet too much and I have more than half left over so I use half of each sachet twice a week.

I found the mask to be on the thick side so I did add less powder and create the right consistency I wanted.

It was easy to apply, the first time it was too thick and had it on my face so thick, that it took ages to dry so when taking it off, it was still damp in places. But I learnt for next time.

It does feel a little tight once drying as all clay masks do, but I found it was not uncomfortable at all.

It was relatively easy to take off also, using a warm damp cloth so it acted as an exfoliator at the same time.

I will point out as stated on the website, it does cause your face to go red and slightly sensitive so I would not recommend using this before applying make up, try a few days earlier and use natural skincare if possible after.
Also use a good moisturiser as it makes the skin a little dry.

After using this face mask routinely, I found my skin was smoother, less breakouts and blackheads were starting to disappear.

I didn’t notice any other benefits like radiance but my skin was certainly a lot more clearer and looked less like ‘teenage’ spotty skin.

I did find the mask quite drying but I do with all clay masks, a good moisturiser and serum always solves that issue. Also using a balm helps too.

I would also advise to use half the sachet and use the other half a few days later as one sachet is far too much.
