  1. When I’m checking out a brand or company, I always visit their website and check out their social media outlets. 9 times out of 10 I visit their blog too. It is a great way to get more info and engage.

  2. I love brands who use blog posts to share fun ideas, cool new products and more using their blog. I think if a business isn’t blogging or adding new content, they will miss out on potential customers.

  3. 100% agree with this – especially number four. Storytelling is such an important part of running a business. Especially if you are a small business owner. Places like Walmart, Target, Bloomingdale’s, etc don’t really need to tell a story. People know what they have to offer. They go in, get what they want, and come out. But for small business owners, we often have to let our audiences know what we have to offer that will improve their life AND why they should get that from us and not someone else. Having a blog gives you a platform to tell your story, provide value, and develop a relationship with the people that you hope to one day call clients or customers.

  4. This is great. I know quite a few business owners who own a blog and find it really helps and connects them to customers, and gets the conversation going!

  5. We have a blog for our business but trying to create content has proven to be a bit of a challenge.
We run a safety company so right now it’s pretty anemic but we are working on it.
One baby step at a time!

  6. I encourage everyone I know with their own business to have and or start a blog. I’ve bought many items and services from people mainly because I got to know them and trusted them because of their blog.

  7. I never even thought of that before. I have a blog of course but never thought I needed one for our business.
