When you set up a business blog you may be wondering how to get the word out. You may have learned about using SEO to get search engine traffic but rather than waiting for a post to get to the top of the list for the topic, why not do your own marketing? As a business person, you know the benefit of marketing tools, but in the blogging world, those tools may be a bit different than what you are used to. There are several add-ons and automated options that will help your blog maintain a social media presence and market your business without you having to spend a lot of time on it every day. Let’s take a look at a few marketing tools that can help you with your blog.
Social Media Sharing Apps
Not only can you take advantage of automated blog post sharing on your own or your business’s social media accounts, but you can also include share buttons on your blog so that readers can quickly share interesting posts. The time it takes to set up these applications on your blog is negligible in comparison to the benefits and brand recognition you will receive.
Images
You need more than just a great blog post in order to catch people’s attention. The images you choose also act as marketing tools for your posts. Whether you choose industry-related images, humorous images, or even an embedded video, these are things that make people want to check out the post and share it with others.

Newsfeeds
The content on your blog consists of more than just blog posts. Installing a newsfeed that covers topics related to your business is a great marketing tool- these headlines can be shared on social media and get people back to your blog to read your informative posts.
Social Media Pages/Networks
We’ve already discussed posting to social media but being a presence on your social media pages/networks is also an important marketing tool. Contests, giveaways, polls and of course links to your blog will help increase brand recognition. Luckily you can sit down and schedule these posts once a week to save time, or you could hire a VA to help.
Ads
Another great marketing tool you can’t overlook is advertising. There are many different ways to advertise your blog. Everything from paid ads on social media, local ads, or even commercials or print ads, you can get the word out about your business and blog.
The Internet provides a host of marketing tools to help your brand grow and increase your clientele. You could even look into hiring a marketing agency such as Stockport website design will be there to help you with strategies to boost your website. What’s more, every website needs responsive web design, as such, it is worth the time to explore different options and create a sound marketing plan for your business blog in order to create more traffic and convert more “lookers” into customers!

This is a helpful post. Social media is a really good way of promoting! Along with high quality images, too! I really like the newsfeeds idea, I need to look more into that one. Thanks for sharing 🙂
I never think of advertising my own blog through ads but I’m guessing it could be worthwhile.
I really need to look into scheduling tweets and blog posts – as I get busier, I often find that I can’t post at a good time, or I get swamped with other work, so I really need to find better ways of managing myself! 🙂

I used to use advertising, but I feel like the trend for them has really died down lately.
