Birthday Presents for the Man Who Wants Nothing

Birthday Presents for the Man Who Wants Nothing

My husband is a real headache to buy for. We’ve been together for twenty years, so I’ve pretty much exhausted all of the cute and quirky options for presents to buy him, plus if he sees something he likes, he’s more than likely to just buy it. Since we’ve had children (now aged five and two), I’ve also had the added pressure of Father’s Day which means thinking of even more things to buy. He’s not one for the standard ‘Best Daddy’ type of presents, and we have more than enough photos of all of us around the house, so that rules that out.

It is with trepidation that I started looking for birthday presents, and thankfully came across the following, which I think will fit the bill.

Cuppa anyone?

As will all sleep deprived parents, my husband drinks a lot of tea and coffee, and I think he would really appreciate the novelty of ‘No More Tea Bags’. It’s basically an aerosol can, which contains tea ‘concentrate’ that you add boiling water to make a perfect cup of tea. It’s made from brewed leaf tea so should produce a nice cuppa, and comes in English Breakfast, Earl Grey and Jasmine varieties. Plus it means there’ll be no more tea bag drips on the worktop!

Get Some Work Done

Although we have been homeowners for many years, neither of us are great at DIY and usually rely on family to help out. However, my husband does like to do small bits and pieces around the house and is very good at deciphering flat pack instructions.

This magnetic wristband will be really helpful for him, it means that you can keep your nails and screws to hand. Perfect for the silly tiny screws that get in the way when you’re trying to change the batteries in your children’s toys!

Say It With a Plectrum

I love The Crafty Giraffe and have bought many personalised presents from there. They just seem a bit more classy than the usual photo gifts, plus they don’t go out of date! They have some lovely items where you can have one of your child’s drawings engraved onto a keyring or coaster. I think I’ll choose an engraved ‘Daddy Your Rock’ keyring, which is in the shape of a guitar plectrum. It will remind my husband of his band days in his youth, but isn’t too embarrassing if one of his friends finds his keys!

The Finishing Touch

I love this card, it pretty much sums up where we are in our parenting journey recently!
