If you’re a keen explorer then it can be hard to think of new places to visit when summer comes around every year. You might feel as if you’ve exhausted all possible travel destinations, but that’s impossible (unless you have a lot of time and money). If you’re struggling to choose the location for your next summer adventure then here are a few suggestions for trips that could be perfect for you.
The Lake District, England.
This might be a strange suggestion to kick off the article. Obviously, England isn’t exactly known for its sunny weather. In fact, it’s quite famous for its rain. You can cross your fingers and hope for a little bit of sunshine and warm weather, but there are still incredible places to explore over summer even if the temperature isn’t quite as hot as you’d like or the sun isn’t shining. The Lake District is a great place to start. It’s one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations because of its gorgeous landscapes. You can expect to find rolling green hills, crystal-clear lakes, and luscious forests. It’s a picturesque national park that could be a really fun place for a trip with family or friends this summer.

Colorado, United States.
There are plenty of fantastic places in the United States where the sun shines, but Colorado is definitely one of the best states to visit if you’re looking for an adventure as well as a sunny location. For starters, you’ll want to see the Grand Canyon. Whilst you’ve probably seen the iconic red canyon and rock formations in hundreds of pictures, you can’t beat the feeling of seeing this location in person. It’s a spectacle that you’ll find utterly transfixing. You should also explore the beautiful landscape of the Rocky Mountains. Hiking through tranquil forests and up stunning mountains is an incredible experience.
The natural side of Colorado is what makes it such an incredible state, but there are also plenty of quaint and tranquil towns and cities to explore here. You should check out the small town of Breckenridge. There are wonderful hiking trails, and you could even go fly-fishing in the Blue River. You should also stay at the Marriott’s Mountain Valley Lodge at Breckenridge if you’re looking for luxurious accommodation in a relaxed location. It’s such a scenic state that you should embrace the stunning environment.
Sydney, Australia.
Australia is one of the best destinations for a summer adventure. It’s not only a beautiful and sunny location – it’s also packed full of incredible things to see and do. It’s the perfect location for your next big trip. In particular, you should consider heading to Sydney. It’s the kind of city that best suits people who thrive in frantic and busy locations. Of course, if you tire of the busy city centre then you should head out to the nearby town of Leura to really enjoy the summer sun in beautiful green surroundings. There are fantastic waterfalls and parks in this town.
