A couple of weeks ago I did a post about what is the best thing blogging has brought you I had such fun putting it together that I thought I would continue the trend and this time I asked the lovely people over in the UK Bloggers Facebook Group, what is the strangest thing blogging has brought you?

My blog ended up on a fetish site for people with glasses… Although that did bring a lot of traffic and quite a bit of ad revenue. Futures
My blog brought 1D to my door….. As a lover of 1D it was the best gift I could ever receive… Only problem was, it was a mug and a bottle of perfume! Needless to say they have both been used daily – Story behind it my 2 best bloggy friends sent them to me at Christmas and I loved my gifts. Mummy to the Max
Ellen Cole I have only been blogging for a short period of time and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience. I think the strangest thing that has happened to me so far is that I have written about so many random things e.g. dyslexia, work, sega mega drives and even on hamsters… I have loved every minute of it. The strangest thing blogging has brought me but also try most wonderful – I wrote a post about my childhood hero James Hunt (big motor racing fan) and one of his sons heard about it and left a comment on my post. It just shows how fab the internet is and the reach wasn’t something id really considered Over 40 and Mum to One

Not sure about strange but I am blogging about craft, diy as upcycling and max mcmurdo from fill your house for free and judge of shed of the year started following me on twitter and even sent me a tweet ! Well the strangest thing I have done for blogging has to be taking photos of cake in front of famous Cornish landmarks last month. As I was holding a cherry Bakewell up in front of the land’s end sign I noticed tourists turn and start taking photos of me! My Mummy’s Pennies

It’s brought me a following of rubber fetishes (I do triathlon and open-water swimming, so I have pics of me in a wetsuit, and that has attracted people who are into rubber) LOL Lucy Lunges
I’d say it’s the strangest visitors from search terms they’ve put into Google (very rude) that have been directed mistakenly to my blog lol That and some slimy seaweed patches to put over my eyes – which decreased the bags but felt horrid! Manchester Flick Chick
The moral of this post.. If you’re a blogger your likely to come across fetishes in some way?
I love this article, for me it has to be a sense of self-worth. I’ve become more confident as more people visit my blog and comment on it, ” wow, people actually want to read my work”. Its a strange feeling to think someone has taken time to read your thoughts and feelings on a subject and it’s amazing to get comments such as “Great article, it’s so well written you really helped me a lot”. Especially since I failed English (twice!)
– For me the strangest thing probably is becoming a better writer, it’s happened gradually. I re-read an article of mine 3 years ago and my typing reads like this (example, not really my work): “So i went down to the beach and my family were splashing around. I wanted to stay for hours but we had to leave after 6oclock. its not like it was even dark.”
I wince. *Hides in shame*.
