There is nothing more elegant than vintage jewellery so I had a wonderful time hunting for vintage jewellery.
I sat for hours, wondering what particular pieces of jewellery went through in their glittering life.
I made up stories for pieces I loved, imagining them going through wonderful times.
I am going to share a few wonderful pieces from Berganza – a website with one off vintage jewellery that has their own story, life and wants a life with you.
A little gentle soul that sat nestled along the neck of a quiet woman, a powerful woman that had no voice.
Her only grace was the beautiful string of pearls that she toyed with for comfort. To give her a reminder of the lost love, the heartbreak. The infinite strength and courage gained from losing a love so strong.
Creating a powerful memory as her heart filled with warmth. Remembering the day she nearly lost her most precious necklace and her husband taking the task of checking every nook and cranny in hope of finding the precious present he bought the year before.
Her face lighting up as the necklace was nestled in his hands, offering her solstice that he would move the earth for her if she needed.
Christmas day morning, watching the children opening their presents with a sigh of contented happiness.
Eyeing her partner as he opens his presents with gusto, her children ripping and discarding the paper without a seconds though.
A little pang of deflation as she does not see anything for her…
A bulb goes on the tree, getting up, she spies a little wrapped box with a tag saying ‘Didn’t think I would forget you?’
Opening the little box carefully, she spies this beautiful Sapphire ring… nestled in a sea of silver.
Looking up, she watches as her partner gets down on one knee and says those 4 words she has been aching to hear for years…
‘Will you marry me?’
