Blogging can be IS hard work. You don’t just have to think of topics to blog about, but take pictures or source some which are use able under a creative commons licence, you have to share your posts, engage with your audience and all the time you are thinking ahead to the next thing you can or should be doing.
There are a lot of things that have to be almost perfect, when you are blogging if you are not checking your grammar, eg using I instead of i, running a spell check, then maybe its wise to rethink your strategy. As someone who is highly dyslexic it amazes me to think how far I have come since my blog opening day in both spelling and grammar.
You have to get your head around basic HTML, no matter if you choose to use blogger or wordpress. You are going to need to understand basic HTML, while you can often rely on the inbuilt editor to do most things, if something in your post goes wrong – heading for the HTML editor is going to be your quickest fix. Useful for your template, sidebar and adding buttons.
Then when you are been blogging a while, the email you perhaps have been waiting for drops into your mail box. ” We want to advertise with you!” – Oh yes you cry, my blog is making money -However now your self employed, you now need to register with HRMC, submitting tax returns once a year.
So sometimes, just sometimes I want to throw my hands in the air and shout GIVE ME A BREAK. But honestly I love blogging and more than anything it helps me.

Great post you hit the nail on the head with this one!! Ive been blogging 7months and im feeling the pressure already, I need a break soon but I do love blogging so much. Thanks for a great post.
I know exactly what your saying. I find allowing myself to take a break is the hardest xx
I am juggling blogging with a full time job, three kids and a terminally ill mother. Although there are days when i think i just need a break, blogging helps me keep my sanity too lol
