One of the great things about blogging is it allows you to work from anywhere.
For some, this means being able to set up a home office and work from there.
However, what are the basics you need to think about when putting together your own home office?
Flooring and Walls.
Obviously, the first set is the room itself. Thinking about how you want it to look. It might be that as well as using the room to work on your blog posts, it might also be the backdrop to photos or even videos.
So if you are able to paint and replace the floor thinking about how they might work in with your blog is a good idea.
For paint think about colours which work well as a backdrop, I often use my light grey hallway walls. Or you could look to use a wall mural or canvas print such as those from Photowall to help bring some real fun to your office walls.
When it comes to flooring, then perhaps a solid wood floor could work well. After all, not only are they extremely durable and available at a good price, but they can also make for an interesting background, for flat lay pictures.
Desk and Chair.
These days there are so many different choices when it comes to both desks and chairs.
Adjustable desks which all you to sit or stand up to work are becoming more and more popular, I’ve even seen some people add on a treadmill so they can work out and work!
For a chair you are going to want something with is supportive and comfortable. Seating is definitely one thing you want to be very careful about as it can make all the difference to your posture and comfort.
Storage.
Storage is always a must. You are going to want areas to keep products to be photographed or reviewed. Storage for any information needed towards your tax return and anything else that might need to be kept safely.
Of course, while some parts of an office are a must, you are also creative and have the freedom to decorate and design as much as you like.
