Jack adores bath time. Spending ages just sitting in the bath, playing with his bath toys and having fun. When it is time to get out, he can be quite miserable as he wants to stay in so having a comfy towel to wrap him up warm in is essential.
We were recently sent the Lullabooth Extra Large Bamboo hooded towel for babies and toddlers. Retailing at 55 EUR, the towel is described as incredibly soft and silky for your baby or toddlers skin.
As with the other items on the Lullaboo site, this product is made of bamboo – with the bamboo viscose soft and silky on your child’s skin. Bamboo viscose has very healthy properties which is great if you have sensitive skin like Jack does. Jack has always suffered with sensitive skin and has recently been diagnosed with eczema and this is one of the only towels that doesn’t irritate him.
The towel itself is hypoallergenic, antibacterial and antifungal and is also sustainable, eco-friendly and vegan – perfect for everyone. The towel also absorbs 3-4 times more water than cotton – incredible! So what did we think of the towel?
Well we’ve been through a lot of towels in Jack’s short life – trying to find one that doesn’t feel rough or irritate his skin can be a nightmare. Jack loves hooded towels as he thinks they seem so much more ‘fun’ than normal towels – and I am inclined to agree! I think children look super cute in hooded towels too!
The towel is extra-large which means it grows with your child – this is great as Jack is growing at an alarming rate. With multiple washings, this towel has retained its softness and silkiness and we’ve actually started using it with Olivia too on her bath times; just in case she turns out to have sensitive skin too. Whilst she’s still quite small, it will be great to watch her grow using it just as we have recently been doing with Jack.
The design of the towel is super cute with an insect (what looks like a dragonfly) emblazoned on the hood. This makes it easy for Jack to spot in his chest of drawers and he can easily pull it out ready for use after bath time. The design is simple but effective – the towel quality speaks for itself, it doesn’t need a flashy design to prove how good it is.
We’re very impressed with this towel – it has served us well already with Jack and is already serving us well with Olivia. The towel is clearly of great quality – after many washes, it still hasn’t lost any of its softness and to be honest, I don’t expect it to. It has proved itself to be of good quality and perfect for my little boy’s sensitive skin – what more could a mum ask for?

It’s brilliant that it is good for sensitive skin, particularly things like eczema.
