Christmas at Wilkinson’s

Over the last few years I have increasingly become impressed at the items Wilkinson’s are putting out for sale; gone are the days when cheap items from Wilko’s meant tacky and here are the days when they are putting out some beautiful home items that are both great looking, yet still available at everyday affordable prices and this Christmas is no exception. They kindly sent me a few of their items that are up for sale this festive season to have a look at.

First up we have:
White Stag Ornament

Sadly this has sold out on the Wilko’s website now, so I can’t grab a price, but I know it wasn’t expensive (I remember looking at the price and thinking wow that’s good – I’m sure you are looking at under £5) and hopefully you may be able to still, catch this elegant beauty in a store near you.

This is perhaps my favourite of the items I was sent and I am actually sat here wishing I had ordered another as I think they would look lovely with one sat on either end of the mantelpiece. The stag itself has quite a majestic look about it and while they have given it a simple look by just painting the statue white, it really is quite an eye catching ornament and one you definitely wouldn’t guess the price point on.

Wild Wood Decoration Padded Robin – £2

One thing I have loved about Wilko’s decorations this year is how animal orientated they have been and for those who love the festive Robin there has been a number of different tree decorations you could buy. I have a couple of them to show you, but first up is this padded felt Robin from the Wild Wood collection.

I think this is such a sweet little tree decoration it measures in around 13 x 12cm (so actually not so little) and I personally think he would look lovely both nestled in on your tree or hanging from a door handle to move the festive spirit around your home.

Wild Wood Decoration Metal Robin – £1.75

To complement the felt Robin, there comes this lovely little metal number, averaging in at around the same size (13 x 12cm) this little beauty is also from the Wild Wood range (in case you hadn’t guessed it).

I think if you popped one of these on one side of the tree and the felt one on the other, they would complement each other well and for the price, well it is really quite a bargain!

Glass Owl Bauble

Once again this is another sold out on the website decoration (though hopefully some of you maybe able to pick it up in store!) I don’t have the exact sizing of this bauble, but it is a larger sized one (perhaps 80mm in width), which I have to say works perfectly for the owl decoration on it.

It is a glass bauble, so of course is going to be a little more delicate than others, but it really is quite striking in look and I can’t wait to get it hanging on my tree (yes we still don’t have ours up yet – whoops!).

Wooden Heart Hanging Decoration Wooden – £5

For those of you still stuck on present ideas, then how about this beautiful wooden heart, coming in at 20 x 19cm it is the perfect addition to any wall space.

Beautifully shaped and decorated – this now resides in my hall and helps make me smile every morning when I pass by it.

As you can hopefully see from the picture above you are getting a lovely big piece of wood for £5, this isn’t your average little wall hanging piece, this really is a stand out piece and well worth the money in my eyes.
