Win 1 of 20 Sea Bands

Win 1 of 20 Sea Bands

Now you can stay feeling great and have a stress-free summer holiday! Whether your journey is by sea, air, road or rail, Sea-Band acupressure wrist bands can protect your summer travels from the onset of nausea and vomiting.

SB_AdultSFandB_G300

Motion sickness can affect anyone. It occurs because of a conflict between what your eyes see and what your inner ears (which help with balance) sense. Your brain holds all the details about where you are and how you’re moving. Under normal circumstances, all three areas respond to any motion. However, when the signals they receive and send are inconsistent you lose this balance—for example when a child is sitting in the backseat of a car and cannot see outside. The inner ear senses the motion, but the eyes and joints do not, which can lead to car sickness.

Sea-Bands are knitted elasticated wrist bands which operate by applying pressure on the Nei Kuan acupressure point on each wrist by means of a plastic stud. Sea-Bands are clinically proven to relieve motion sickness and morning sickness in addition to helping with post-operative nausea. Because Sea-Bands do not use any drugs at all, they do not cause any of the side-effects associated with anti-nausea drugs and can be worn on each wrist whenever you feel nauseous.

As an expert in nausea, Sea-Band recommends the following tips to help you avoid motion sickness:

  • Move your head as little as possible
  • Don’t drink alcohol or eat a heavy meal before you travel
  • Don’t eat or drink during short trips
  • Try to avoid strong odours and spicy foods
  • Open a window or move to get a supply of fresh air
  • Wear Sea-Band acupressure wrist bands

So whether it’s a staycation or travels to the other side of the world enjoy every minute of your holiday free from nausea with Sea-Band.

  20. Severe risk! I knew that anyway! I have some of these bands and use them all the time any journey more than 2 miles haha! I get so car sick and the roads round here are very hilly, ups and downs, twists and turns! The bands are brilliant but could do with some new less tatty ones!!!

  40. Oh dear me I’m at severe risk…I’ve learnt to cope with flight sickness…partly by overcoming my anxiety. I can occasionaly feel car sick but sea sickness that is the worst! And i’m hoping to go to Thailand and do some Island hopping…God help lol. I’ve actually used these bands before, they’re great, I lost one though 🙁 I don’t know if they actually work with the whole scientific thing about slowing your pulse or if it’s a psychological thing but they did help me.
