James White Ginger Shot Review

James White Ginger Shot Review
I have made no secret of the fact that I suffer with chronic insomnia, pain and nausea among other things and ginger has always been the one thing that helps soothe my irritated, sore and sensitive stomach and digestive system. But there was always something missing, before I had been using ginger in salads, in tea with lemon and sometimes on its own which helped ease my acid reflux but did not give me the energy I needed to get through each day. Being a workaholic but also ill makes for a lethal combination and I was in serious need of a pick me up. Meet James White’s innovative ‘ginger zinger’  7cl shots infused with organic apple juice 57%, organic crushed ginger juice (26%), water and anti-oxidants. Pure and simple the fiery ginger shots contains no artificial coloring or preservatives which means it is a lot more gentle on the stomach than most drinks. Because of my hernia I have to be careful what fruit juices I drink and how acidic the ‘fruits’ are so when I saw the shots contained apple juice I was a little worried.

There was no need to be worried; the percentage of apple juice may make up  more than half of the bottle but its ‘organic’ purer distillation of apple mixed with the ginger meant that the ginger juice overpowered the acid levels of the apple juice. I was pleasantly surprised, being a fan of ginger already I was curious to know how ginger juice would effectively combat my health issues and I found that the intensity and ‘sharp’ tang of pure crushed ginger juice made me a little more alert than I would normally be. I sleep an average of 4 hours a day and because of the chronic back pain I suffer with there is a restricted level of oxygen being transferred over to my brain. The lack of oxygen means that I suffer with what is known as ‘permanent brain fog’ which makes me disorientated, feel [and be] sick. It was so strange because within taking the first shot I noticed that my brain fog had dissipated to a ‘lesser’ extent and I definitely had a lot more energy. Now I am not saying that I was suddenly ‘fine’ and not ill but it did amaze me that I could see a visible improvement with just 7CL of ginger juice and I was suitably impressed.

The health benefits of ginger have been noted since 200 BC, with its medicinal, economic and cultural properties attracting all target audiences and that is an ethos that James White taps into to put a modern spin on the popular herb.  Whats more because of my intolerance to caffeine the Ginger Zinger gives me the boost that I so badly crave to keep me focused and well while I am working. I often have to eat and drink on the go but I am terrible at consuming fluids because my stomach can’t handle too much at a time. Which makes the 7cl Ginger Zinger shots suitable for my needs. Perhaps the best feature of the ‘Ginger Zinger’  is the pressed ginger juice which is gentle on the stomach because of its slow release mechanism. The slow release of ginger is unexpected but pleasantly palatable; having been used to the sharp intensity of raw ginger I enjoyed savoring the shot small gulps at a time. Before I knew it all five bottles had quickly disappeared [oops] and I was craving my next fix.

I have come to the conclusion that I am in love with ‘Ginger Zinger’ shots and they tick all the right boxes. It is the first drink I have come across that has not made me ‘crash’ , feel drained or sick and in pain and I think a stock order is in mind. At £1.49 per shot it is inexpensive, full of goodness and suitable for people like me whose stomachs and digestive systems rebel against them. I am secretly hoping that they create extra large bottles because it will make me more eager to have more fluids, especially since it does not make me sick.

These sound really good, usually the only way I have ginger is if used in cooking, but as these are shots I may be able to drink them. I suffer with stomach problems so can sympathise. I am going to recommend to my Mum as think she would benefit from these as well x
